3-12 Using the Control Panel

Printing Menu

All of the SelecType Printing menu settings can be set using your

printer driver software and are overwritten by the software

settings. You can set all of them, except Resolution

, using

OneTouch modes as described on page 3-5.

* Not all paper sizes are supported by the Duplex Unit or the paper

cassettes. See Appendix A for details on which paper sizes are supported

by different paper sources.

** Available only when the Duplex Unit is installed.

Printing menu items

Menu item Description

Paper Source Selects the tray from which to load paper:

Auto (from tray containing paper that matches the

Page Size setting below)

MP (built-in tray)

LC1 (standard lower cassette)

LC2 (optional lower cassette)

Page Size Selects the page size of the image to be produced: A3,

A3+, A4, A5, B4, B5, LT, B, HLT, LGL, GLT, GLG, EXE, F4,

MON, C10, DL, C5, C6, IB5, CTM *

Orientation Selects the print direction on the page: Portrait or

Landscape

Copies Selects the number of copies to print: 1 to 999

Manual Feed Turns manual feed mode on or off for the built-in paper

tray; see Chapter 1 for instructions

Resolution Sets the print resolution to 600 dpi or 300 dpi

Duplex** Sets duplex printing ON or OFF

Binding** Selects Long Edge or Short Edge as the binding

direction of the printout

Start Page** Specifies whether printing begins on the FRONT or BACK

of the page
