Use of these buttons is described in more detail in the following

sections.

RESET/CONTINUE

This button has several uses related to

SelecType. (For information on other uses

of this button, see the section on buttons

earlier in this chapter.)

Implementing SelecType changes - After

you exit SelecType (with the printer off

line), hold down this button for three

seconds (until the message RESET

appears) to implement your SelecType

settings.

Initializing SelecType settings to factory

defaults - In SelecType mode, hold down

the

RESET/CONTINUE

button for three

seconds (until the message INITIALIZE

appears). Then hold down the button for

three more seconds (until the message

RESET appears) to return all SelecType

functions to the factory settings. See the

section on initializing SelecType for full

details.

CAUTION:

This initializing procedure returns all

SelecType options to their factory settings, cancelling all

changes you have made. It should be used with care.

SET

Use the SET button to select and set

SelecType options.
